COURTESY LISTING - JAKE IS NOT IN FOSTER CARE WITH YCHS - YADKIN COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY MAKES NO GUARANTEES ABOUT HIS HEALTH OR TEMPERAMENT. WE ARE PROVIDING A SERVICE TO HIS CAREGIVER TO HELP WITH RE-HOMING. PLEASE CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY IF YOU'D LIKE TO MEET OR ADOPT HIM AT THE EMAIL ADDRESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS LISTING.

Hi - my name is Jake.  I'm a loving boy who was on an outside chain before coming into foster care.  All of my veterinary needs have been taken care of - I'm neutered, UTD on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative, and I'm on monthly heartworm preventative.  I'm full grown and weigh about forty pounds.

I spend lots of time in the house now and I'm housebroken.  I'm also crate-trained. I love to run and play, and still have some puppy to outgrow.  I'm very affectionate with people, and play well with the other dogs in my foster home.  A home without cats would be best for me - my foster family is pretty sure I'd chase them given a chance.

I need a fenced in yard or an active adoptive family who is willing to spend time daily exercising me.  An adoptive home with the ability to train me in a farm setting would be rewarded with an excellent dog - Australian Shepherds were bred for herding.  I also have the stamina to excel in agility training.

A veterinary or personal references and home visit will be required before placing him in his new home.  His adoption fee is $50 to help defray a small portion of the cost of his medical care.

If you are interested in meeting Jake, or adopting him, please email his foster family.  In your email, please provide us with your name and contact information, along with a little bit of information about you.  If you have other pets, please tell us about them and provide us with the name and contact # for your vet.
