Yadkin County Humane Society houses all of our animals in foster care in member's homes. We do not have a shelter facility. Appointments to see animals must be arranged with his/her foster parent ahead of time.
Hi - my name is Spunky, I'm a small Chihuahua (CKC papers were given to
YCHS when he was surredered) who is
looking for a forever family. I was
surrendered to YCHS with a female Chihuahua named Sadie - our caregiver
had some health issues and wasn't able to keep us.
I'm
well-socialized and don't bark at strangers. I was very overweight when I came into foster care,
but with proper food portions and exercising, I'm loosing weight and feeling much better. I've been neutered
and had a dental cleaning as well. I'm heartworm negative and
up-to-date on all of my vaccinations. I weigh approximately nine pounds.
If you'd like to meet
Spunky, or talk further with his foster mom, please select this link to email her.

Appointments to be introduced to animals in foster care can be arranged with foster parents to meet your schedule; however, please keep in mind that most of our foster parents do work full-time. If you would like to see an animal in foster care, please contact their foster parent through the email address provided in the animal's bio. Adoption fees are $75 for kittens/cats and $100 for puppies/dogs - this includes age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, and the spay/neuter.
