COURTESY LISTING - PEANUT IS NOT IN FOSTER CARE WITH YCHS - YADKIN COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY MAKES NO GUARANTEES ABOUT HIS HEALTH OR TEMPERAMENT. WE ARE PROVIDING A SERVICE TO HIS FOSTER HOME TO HELP PLACE HIM. PLEASE CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY IF YOU'D LIKE TO MEET OR ADOPT HIM.

Allow me to introduce myself - my name is Peanut (the name my foster parents gave me because I was so little when they found me alone in the middle of the road).  The vet estimates I'm about four months old as of mid-March.

I'm neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and taking monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative.  I'm a bundle of energy as most puppies are, but I also love to snuggle at the end of the day with my foster parents and the other dogs.  If I must say so myself, I play really well with other dogs and I've been exposed to cats - I'm good with them too.  I know how to sit and I'm crate trained, but I'm still working on my housebreaking and leash skills with my foster family.

Although from my face it's clear that I've got some Rotweiller markings, I'm still quite small and no one really knows what I'm mixed with.  At approximately four months, I weigh around fifteen pounds and stand about a foot tall.  It's hard to know how big I'll get, but I'll definitely be smaller than a typical male Rottie.

My adoption fee is $50, which will be donated to a local vet's office to help other animals just like me get vet care when they need it.  If you'd like to meet me in person or know more about me, please contact my foster parents via email at this link and tell them a little about your home/family.

Applicants must provide veterinary or personal references, and a home visit will be required prior to placing Peanut with an adoptive family.
